Job Vacancy: Contracts/Commercial Manager

Location: Head office – Derry (Offices across Belfast, UK & Dubai)

Hours of work: Flexible working hours/Hybrid working (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (Bonus scheme)

About the Client:

Blackfox Solutions are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Manager to join a dynamic team at an independent organisation, specialising in fire safety engineering.

Our client are dedicated to integrating fire safety considerations seamlessly into design, construction, and operation processes.

Their values centre around excellence and prioritising customer needs, with a diverse portfolio spanning Northern Ireland, UK and the Middle East.

Role Overview:

As a Contract/Commercial Manager, you'll oversee contractual agreements related to fire engineering services. Responsibilities include negotiation, compliance, risk management, and ensuring commercial success. With your attention to detail and effective communication, you'll contribute to project execution and financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead commercial activities and ensure contract delivery.
• Draft and refine contractual agreements.
• Utilise knowledge of contract law and regional requirements.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement strategies.
• Foster strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor contract compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Identify areas for process improvement.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Proficiency in contract administration and negotiation.
• In-depth knowledge of contract law in the UK and Middle East.
• Prior experience in Engineering Consultancy or Construction Industry.
• Project Management experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.

Desirable:

• Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
• Master's degree in business/legal/commercial areas.
