Job description

DWF is seeking an entry level Paralegal to join an ongoing project dealing with outsourced RTA claims on behalf of a large insurer client. The successful candidate will be based in-house with the client in their Liverpool city centre office. Hybrid working options available.

Initially, the role will consist predominantly of reviewing accident information, transferring data from the insurer client's system over to DWF's case management system and sending initial documentation out, but will progress to dealing with responses, claim handling and litigation.

• Review accident circumstances and assess the repair outlay on the insurer client's system, then set up files on DWF's case management system;
• Deal with response emails and telephone calls;
• Action all cases in line with practice group/client service standards and protocols ensuring the monitoring and completion of MI as required;
• To deal with technical aspects of the case, under the supervision of the sub-team leader.
• Ensure that financial targets are met.
• Use of the case management system and / or use of standard documentation wherever appropriate;
• Utilise negotiation and communication skills to proactively settle cases whilst further developing legal technical knowledge;
• Prioritise and organise work efficiently and effectively to ensure client service level agreements and deadlines are met;
• Work flexibly in adjusting to changes in priority of workload as dictated by line managers;
• Interpret financial information to monitor your own performance against agreed targets, ensuring there is an ability to explain any differential;
• Ensure client care in all cases;
• Record all time accurately;
• Partake in any other duties that are deemed necessary to support the DWF business as and when required;
• Follow all the Firm's policies and procedures;
• Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times

We will consider candidates from any background, providing that they are IT literate and can work well as part of a team, but experience of data entry or motor claim handling would be beneficial.
