1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Blackwood (NP12)

Hours: Monday-Friday (8:30am-3:30pm)

Pay: £77 per day

Year Group: Year 3

Start: March 2024

Job Information:

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil that has been diagnosed with Autism (ASD) in a year 3 class, starting in March 2024. The student needs a Teaching Assistant to closely support and help within class to stay engaged and manage behaviour. This school works hard to ensure each student has the ability to learn, and grow into confident young people. We're seeking strong, resilient, and patient teaching assistant candidates for this role to support and nurture the pupil. They will need to also assist other teaching assistants and the class teacher to provide a safe and positive environment. Prior experience in working with children is not essential but preferred.

Essential Requirements:

• Enhanced Child only DBS that is registered with the Update Service
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council
• 2 Professional Based References

Responsibilities:

• Support and motivate the pupil during all aspects of the school day
• Assist in engaging and effective lessons
• Build a trustworthy relationship with the pupil
• Encourage the pupil to develop their social and emotional needs
• Support the class teacher with general classroom duties

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
