Import Export Operator

Offering a competitive salary depending on experience.

9-month fixed-term contract, with the opportunity to become permanent.

Based in Basildon, SS15 – Office-based.

Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 17:30.

We are eager to recruit an Import Export Operator to work for an International Transport Company based in Basildon and this position can offer an immediate start.

The role will be to complete all Imports and Exports for International trailer freight.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Import Export Operator to join a well-established business who handle Road Transport Shipments, across Europe, UK and Ireland.

The role will include:

·Identifying Customs tariffs and commodity codes.

·Data entry and data processing.

·Utilising customs software to ensure all freight is cleared, ensuring no hold-ups for freight to be delivered to the customer or at the port of entry.

·Ensuring all information is correctly entered into the customs software to ensure no delays, fines or hold ups.

The role requires a candidate who:

·Has had experience in handling customs operations, for both imports and exports.

·Has had experience in processing customs import clearances and export entries.

·Can work with a high level of attention to detail and handle large amounts of data.

·Possesses excellent communication and administration skills.

·Experience in imports and exports – full/part load trailer operations (LAND).

·The ability to price and negotiate rates.
