Employer Engagement & Partnerships Consultant

Weymouth College

Location

Weymouth, Dorset | United Kingdom

Job description

Join us at Weymouth College – an ambitious and inclusive Further Education college, offering diverse learning opportunities to our students in the inspiring setting of the Jurassic Coast in Dorset.

We're thrilled to offer an exciting opening within our Business Development team, where innovation and growth are at the forefront. As we strengthen our ties with businesses across Dorset and the South West, we are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual to step into the role of Employer Engagement and Partnerships Consultant.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of education-industry collaboration. Your role will be pivotal in generating and building relationships with local employers and businesses, driving engagement, supporting marketing and communication activities, and contributing to our recruitment targets for Apprenticeships and Adult Skills.

You will also be involved in expansion and development, as we continue to work on our improvement and growth programme in line with the College’s future strategy.

We welcome candidates with experience in business development or account management, not limited to the education sector.

This role’s key focus will be in Apprenticeships, Adult Skills training, and actively listen to the evolving needs of our partners. The ideal candidate will be able to draw from expertise in Further Education, especially within Apprenticeships and work-based learning, to bring invaluable insights to the table.

At Weymouth College, we value collaboration and initiative. Candidates should have outstanding organisational skills, work well within a team environment but also be confident using your own initiative, and be responsible for diary management and administrative tasks relevant to the role.

We prioritise the wellbeing of our staff and understand the importance of a healthy work-life balance. We're committed to supporting our team members, offering dedicated health and wellbeing days and opportunities for Continuing Professional Development. You’ll also benefit from a generous annual leave entitlement and access to our leisure and wellbeing facilities.

If you're ready to make a tangible impact on our students’ education and our engagement with the community, please get in touch for an initial informal discussion. Contact Michael Wood, Director of Business Development, Future Skills, and Partnerships on 01305 208801.
