School Meals Supervisory Assistant
Grade B, £ 4496 per annum
Hours 8.75 hours per week, Term Time only
Permanent Position
Starting from April
The Governors of St Mary’s CE Primary School, are seeking to appoint a School Meals Supervisory Assistant, to work with and supervise our children over the lunchtime period. Successful candidates will w ork as part of our enthusiastic, caring and committed team.
The candidate needs to:-
· Have high expectations for all children.
· Have the ability to build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treating them with respect, consistency, consideration and warmth.
· Supporting and encouraging the children to eat their dinner.
· Supporting children in the dining hall and on playground.
· Encourage play with the children and introducing new games.
· Work as part of an effective team.
· Supervision of queues whilst waiting in the dining room.
· Support in leaving the dining room in a tidy condition.
· Securing the safety, welfare and good behaviour of the children in accordance with the schools behaviour policy.
· Ensuring that all pupils return to the classroom.
· Maintain confidentiality.
· Be punctual and well presented.
· Any other appropriate duties commensurate with the grade of the post which may be required from time to time.
