This role is based at one of their distribution centers in the Windsor area, where a diverse range of premium products is offered, catering to a broad audience. As a warehouse deputy manager, you will be responsible for overseeing distribution center operations during the day shift. The primary focus of the role is to efficiently manage the team to achieve optimal productivity and uphold the required standards. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and excel in driving operational efficiency. Collaborating within the wider management team, you will assume ownership of the operations team, covering goods intake, goods out, and breakdown operations. This position involves leading approximately six to ten team members in the operation. Preferred candidates will have prior experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. However, the company is open to considering individuals with retail management backgrounds seeking a career transition. Whether you come from a food retail, DIY, or high volume high street retail background, understanding stock and stock movement is key. The role emphasises excellent managerial skills, encompassing absence management, performance reviews, and staff motivation. The offered basic salary for this role is up to £34,500. The shift patterns consist of four on, four off, amounting to a 38.5-hour working week. Additionally, there is a performance-related bonus of up to 10% of your salary.
