SEND Teaching Assistant required for St Helens Primary school - those from a care / support background will be accepted for application.

We are currently working in partnership with a SEND behavioural school to recruit supportive and flexible Teaching Assistants to work within their KS2 / KS3 provision. .

They are looking for the right person over qualifications to offer support (academic / emotional) in the school setting.

Your new role.

You will be required to immerse yourself in the KS2 / KS3 provision and offer an abridge curriculum in line with development and EHCP\'S. Class sizes will be smaller with a higher ratio of adults to children to offer a more specialised support structure. You will work closely with the EYFS teams to incorporate enrichment opportunities in lessons. Some addition care and toileting may be required due to the age of the children. You will be provided with support to build your confidence in working with SEN pupils and make strong bonds with the children in your care. You will also help the class teacher assess pupils and make sure learning material is accessible to pupils to aid development and learning. Experience in SEND additional need is not always necessary as the school will provide support for the right applicant. You will take part in training in line with the school CPD calendar.
