Job description
Positive Employment is currently recruiting for 2 Security Officers for a client of our’s, a school in Barnet.
To encourage and ensure on-site security and appropriate student conduct in line with the school rules and to assist with general site maintenance duties.
As mentioned there are two roles available: with 30hrs and 20hrs respectively.
THIS ROLE REQUIRES AN ACTIVE SIA BADGE + ENHANCED DBS CERTIFICATE – CANDIDATES WITHOUT EITHER WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Monitoring student activity and conduct on the school site, intervening where necessary, to ensure that behaviour complies with the Code of Behaviour.
Controlling access to the school site, identifying intruders present and taking action as required.
Locking and alarming the college buildings and grounds.
Covering the absence of other security staff.
Patrolling the site through the day, as required, focusing on main areas of student activity, entry and exit points.
Personal Requirements:
Previous experience as security personnel in a public sector environment.
Active SIA badge/license.
Experience of security work dealing with young people (desirable).
Enhanced DBS certificate on update service.
WORKING HOURS:
30hr Position: First Shift – 07:30am – 9:30am / Second Shift – 13:30pm – 17:30pm / Monday – Friday
20hr Position: 13:30pm – 17:30pm / Monday – Friday
Pay Rate:
£15.00 (Umbrella PAYE)
