The salary ranges from £23,100 to £31,100 + London Waiting depending on how much overtime, on-call, and training you would like to take part in. You would also get a company van, with a fuel card, to drive to and from work with and all your PPE would be paid for you. There are 20 days of holiday plus 8 bank holidays, plus many more benefits.

The Company

Do you want to be part of one of the biggest suppliers & hirers of traffic light management systems within the UK and Ireland, in a team with a nationwide depot network as a Temporary Traffic Light Operative? A recent winner of multiple health & safety awards and leading the pack in Traffic light design.

Your responsibilities

As a Traffic Light Operative (TLO), your main role will be installing, repairing, and removing temporary traffic lights. In this role, you would also have to exchange batteries, which requires a lot of physical work as each battery weighs 23kg and you could change around 40 a day depending on what area you are working on.

About You

For this job, you must have good organisational skills as you work towards deadlines, and they need to be met at a fast and ever-changing pace. In addition, you must be adaptable as the job involves travelling to places across your area and further afield with possible overnight stays to meet business needs. Overtime and rotational on-call cover are involved with the position.

Experience and qualifications

A full UK driving license is essential (B&E would be an advantage) as you will have a small company van/truck to enable you to do your work, this can be taken home at night and therefore a safe place to park is essential.

A previous role in maintaining or operating temporary traffic systems would also be an advantage but not essential as we can train you.

A previous electrical background would also be beneficial. However, full training is provided.

The training is split into five levels and is linked to pay
