Job description
Job title: HR Advisor
Job type: Contract
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Duration: 6 months
Pay rate: £25/hr PAYE
Location: Preston
Hours of work: 37 hours Mon-Fri
Applicants must posses the following:
- Experience working in a HR-led role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Experience of working with sickness and attendance policies or a relevant HR qualification
Role information:
- Leads the delivery of sickness/attendance management activities by working closely with the business and Head of HR.
- Take the lead on sickness absence cases in line with company policy and procedures.
- Issue sickness documentation and update absence systems.
- Perform routine tasks to sickness absence initiatives on a day-to-day basis, combined with project work.
- Provide guidance on sickness absence related enquiries from employees, HR and management.
- Manages compliance with employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in sickness absence
- Deliver reporting/data to provide insights and enable decision making
- Review the sickness absence/attendance policies to ensure compliance
