Site Procurement Engineer
12 Month Fixed Term - Solar - Northumberland or Nottinghamshire.
About The Company:
- A giant in solar who is recognised as EPC Contractors and developers. Maintaining hundreds of skills employees, maintaining hundreds of PV projects in multiple continents, amounting to over 2000 megawatts.
Responsibilities:
- Building partnerships with site teams to delineate site procurement necessities and craft innovative procurement approaches.
- Conduct in-depth exploration and analysis of the local market terrain to pinpoint potential suppliers and vendors.
- Execute assessments and adept negotiations to secure acquisitions, aiming to secure the best terms and conditions for the organization.
- Oversee the entire procurement continuum, from supplier selection to request for proposals, comparative analyses formulation, and issuance of purchase orders, agreement terms, including delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranties.
- Taking full accountability for local suppliers, methodically managing shipping documents (including invoices and delivery notes) and adhering to internal protocols to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Ensure prompt submission of recurring monthly invoices from Rental / Services Suppliers to Accounting / Project Management in strict accordance with company guidelines.
- Cultivate effective lines of communication with local suppliers and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive coverage of Site Welfare requirements, encompassing everything from office and warehouse facilities to essential equipment, utilities, and services.
- Collaborate seamlessly with site logistics to streamline the order to delivery process, ensuring seamless coordination and timely fulfillment of procurement needs.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related area.
- Proven experience working in procurement at a relevant position in the construction field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers.
Logistics:
- MUST be based or can travel to the sites in Northumberland or Nottinghamshire.
- This is a 12 month fixed term contract, will consider freelancers/contractors.
- Must be available ASAP, can wait 1 month for an exceptional profile.
- MUST experience in construction procurement or a similar field.
