Job description

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician who will be responsible for creating detailed Civil and Structural technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (Revit) software. This position requires the selected candidate to operate flexibly, attending the Manchester office 2-3 days per week to develop high quality 2D drawings and 3D models. Our client has a strong reputation of delivering, technical, innovative, and practical design solutions in multiple sectors, including, civil infrastructure, bridges, road, rail and water. Your responsibilities will include: Collaborate with engineers, and designers to develop and detail the project.Create 2D and 3D models using CAD software such as Revit and AutoCAD, though this role is focussed on modelling in Revit.Generate detailed technical drawings, schematics, and pdfs.Ensure designs comply with industry specifications, standards, and regulations.Conduct quality checks to verify accuracy of drawings.Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines. The Ideal Candidate will have: Minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience in a similar role.Proficiency in AutoCAD. Revit and Civil 3D software.Knowledge of National Grid specifications, building codes and regulations.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.Familiarity with schematic diagrams and construction documents.
