Our prestigious Harrods Interior Design Studio is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager. You will seek out and convert new clients and projects, creating growth and new business opportunities, within the High Net Worth sector, via B2B and B2C channels. Harrods Interior Design is a multidisciplinary practice of designers, architects and stylists committed to delivering exceptional interiors. With respect for the past and an eye to the future, we work closely with our clients to design homes with elegance and character. About the Role As the Business Development Manager, reporting into the Head of Interior Design Studio (HID), you will oversee business development and client relationship strategies. Coordinating the associated marketing and events strategy, you will be focused on client retention and acquisition targets to deliver department KPIs. You will work closely with key senior stakeholders across Harrods to identify target relationships and execute an appropriate contact strategy, developing and managing effective referral partnerships across the Property, Aviation & Yacht sectors, Family Offices, PA Networks and Private Members Clubs. In addition to the line management of the Marketing team as well as other leadership and people responsibilities, your role will see you: Generate the acquisition and conversion of all new business for Harrods Interior Design. Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will acquire new business. Build and nurture solid relationships with clients, ensuring that the customer journey is first class. Continually develop and execute a third party referrer strategy, building a diverse and effective network of HNW sector relationships to be a vehicle of new client attraction. Formulate a targeted engagement strategy for stimulating business cross referrals of HNW clients, maximising engagement across the business. Work closely with HID Marketing Manager as well as the central Marketing & Partnerships teams to secure HID involvement with the objective of client engagement and acquisition. Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Harrods customer using CRM data; applying the information to deliver actions. Actively build collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the business and externally within the industry and related HNW areas. Be an active member of HNW networking circles to continually be increasing potential acquisition opportunities. Proactively suggest and implement ways to enhance the HID service proposition with recommendations for improvement based on customer feedback and external insight gained About You As an active networker, keen to be part of HNW engagements in your evenings and weekends (where appropriate), you will be a tenacious person who is always looking for further connections & acquisitions, building long-term and effective partnerships. You will have heaps of curiosity for learning, and with that, an in-depth knowledge of the HNW & luxury world. You will be able to demonstrate your commercial success and acquisitions as you will have previous experience in a business development or client relationship management role, in the luxury/HNW sector. You will also have: Strong negotiation skills and evidenced commercial acumen. Influential people skills – ability to build relationships and high level of EQ and social adaptability. The ability to analyse and interpret data and use this to support decision making. Creativity in your working, being innovative and driven. An innate desire to consistently strive for exceptional results.
