Healthcare Solicitor / Associate - Manchester


Healthcare Solicitor – Join one of the leading healthcare teams in the country as they continue to expand their Healthcare offering. This is a broad role advising on a mix of work from investigations and public inquiries into patient deaths to advising hospitals on judicial review matters and claims brought under the Mental Health Act.



Retrain opportunity


What makes the role stand out is that the hiring managers are willing to consider candidates from other areas of law who are looking for a retrain. As well as experience in healthcare, they have previously recruited candidates with experience in clinical negligence, EL/PL experience, social care as well as other areas of law.

More about the work – from Court of Protection to high-level inquests


The team handles a mix of Inquest work as well as Court of Protection matters. Lawyers within the department have built a stellar reputation in this area and are often instructed on some of the most sensitive high-profile cases in the UK. The firm advises both public and private healthcare organisations on cases which often hit the headlines.
What makes this area of law so exciting is that it draws on a wide array of skills including:

Lawyers within the team also advise on everything from general healthcare law including patient complaints as well as SUI and Ombudsman investigations. They also advise on technical areas of mental health law as well as conducting advocacy when required.
