Job description
The post holder will be responsible for working collaboratively with social workers, other practitioners (internally and externally) and care providers to improve the experience and outcomes for Looked After Children, Young People, their Carers and Families. To provide specialist mental health advice and consultation to social workers and care providers to support practice and management of young people presenting with a range of complex needs. Assessing and providing therapeutic interventions for young people who are classed as Looked After under the care of a local authority. Management of a caseload, which includes, assessment, care-planning in conjunction with service user and carer/multi agencies and utilising service specific outcome measures to guide and evaluate effectiveness of individual treatment plans To have the opportunity to develop your supervision skills through the supervision of junior members of staff and students. To contribute and share knowledge as part of a multidisciplinary team. To contribute towards the BEEU Core team duty rota, to provide advice and guidance to young people, families and professionals for those who are awaiting intervention from the BEEU service.
