Deputy Operations Manager
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)
Location: All PBS4 locations (Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, Berkshire, Oxfordshire)
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours)
*Must be a driver and willing to travel across all locations as required
About the role
The Deputy Operations Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager and will have accountability and delegated CQC responsibility for the support provided across PBS4, and for safely and effectively delegating CQC responsibilities to managers across the organisation. There may be a requirement to take on a registration, either Ofsted or CQC, in the future as part of this role.
You will be responsible for ensuring effective management of the support provisions, ensuring that peoples’ support needs are being met, risk assessments and risk management guidelines are up to date and followed, advice and guidance from the Operations Manager and Chief Operations Officer are implemented, quality standards are maintained, and continuous improvement is demonstrated.
You will also hold responsibility for supporting with New Business. This will involve stakeholder communications, set up, development and management of new transitions, liaising with commissioners and social workers. You will also need to work with an individuals current provider to ensure a smooth transition and the effects this may have on them.
Additionally, the role is essential in the development of new support teams in PBS4. The Deputy Operations Manager will need to work closely with the Clinical team, Finance, HR and Recruitment, alongside the Enablement Managers and Enablement Assistants, to ensure process is streamlined and fit for purpose and that all departments are aligned in reaching the desired outcomes for the people we support.
There will be organisation-wide on call responsibilities as part of the Deputy Operations Manager position.

About you
● NVQ Level 5 in Care or equivalent relevant qualification
● Experience of managing personalised support provisions for with people with a Learning Disability, Autism and Challenging Behaviour covering multiple locations
● Experience of managing budgets and financial information
● Experience of leadership and mentoring/supervising team members
● Ability to provide quality supervision, performance appraisal and leadership.
● Ability to prioritise workload, manage own time, delegate tasks and meet deadlines
● Driver with access to own Vehicle

We support people to live in their own homes, with their own tenancies and our model of support is a practice called Positive Behaviour Support.
