Attendance Assistant

Outwood Academy Riverside

Location

Middlesbrough | United Kingdom

Job description

Outwood Academy Riverside requires an Attendance Assistant to provide administrative support to promote whole school attendance strategies to fulfil our responsibility in the improvement and sustainability of attendance in our academy. Owing to the nature of the role, an ability to relate to the academy’s students and their parents/carers in a positive and proactive way is crucial.

To be successful in this rewarding role, you will need to be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise work and ensure that strict deadlines are met. The ability to work on your own initiative and work within existing teams is essential. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and be able to remain calm in a busy environment whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Strong IT skills and practical experience of using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, are essential for this role. Experience within a school attendance role is advantageous but not essential.

Outwood Academy Riverside is currently at Russell Street, Middlesbrough. A new, state of the art, school will be built on Pioneering Way, adjacent to Middlesbrough College. In the interim, as the school grows, we will have a satellite site in Eston, opening in September 2024. It is expected that appointed staff may also be deployed to work at that site. There is not a vast distance between the two sites and it will be a ‘mirror image’ of everything Riverside is about.
