Assistant Finance Manager

Job description
My client, a rapidly growing hotel group are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager/ Financial Accountant to join their growing team. The successful applicant will have at least 2 years’ experience working in Hotels in a similar capacity.
In the capacity of Assistant Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Group Finance Manager and the wider finance team to achieve timely financial reporting ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and integrity are implemented.
Accountabilities
- Group treasury, development finance and reporting daily.
- Reporting on daily bank balances and movements.
- Manage daily Intercompany transfers.
- Creating payments.
- Production of monthly and quality consolidated accounts in line with company policy.
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and action every month.
- Reviewing and analysing fortnightly and monthly payroll.
- Reviewing and analysing supplier payments and checking process.
- Submission of quarterly VAT.
- Upkeep company statutory records and information.
- Complete annual confirmation statements.
- Internal auditor which will include conducting internal audits in all hotels within the UK.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews.
- Agree audit deliverables timelines, review build up progress and ensure MA deliver in agreed timelines.
- Ensure all SOP implementation and adherence of routine procedures and processes.
- Work closely with the GFD in the capacity of an internal auditor and in defining the IA routine.
Administration
- Assist with the on-going development of effective management and administration systems, UKG and make efficient use of information technology where appropriate.
- To be environmentally aware and monitor energy consumption and usage. Assist in developing an energy awareness culture within the hotel.
- To supervise, direct and train staff when and where necessary
- To carry out reasonable duties as requested.
- Attend training as requested.

- Good Excel skills, computer literate with multiple systems experience.

Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Experience in a similar role in the Hospitality industry
