PAY: £40,000- £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) + van
PERMANENT

Vacancy – Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our client based in Thornbury. The role will include travelling to clients’ sites (company van provided) and a mixture of office-based duties working with Hybrid and WFH options.

Duties would include: -
• Site surveys – Building and Dental projects
• Prepare detailed costs – Material & labour Costs.
• Send specific items to relevant subcontractors for costs where possible.
• Send quotation requests to material / specialist equipment suppliers.
• Collate all costs, prepare detailed spreadsheet of costs.
• Liaise with Partners, prepare schedule of works from commencement of project through to completion and sign off.
• Make building control application including any documentation requested.
• Liaise with Building control throughout project, booking site visits as required.
• Request completion/test/commissioning certificates from subcontractors, send to Building control for project completion.
• Obtain structural engineer calculations if required, submit to Building Control for approval.
• Liaise with Clients/Architects throughout the project.
• Book in staff/subcontractors as required.
• Order materials as required – check against quotations provided.
• Responsible for proving staff/subcontractors’ scope and schedule of works.
• Regular site visits to ensure quality of work is as required and monitor work schedule.
• Document any variations/unforeseen works.
• Check invoices from subcontractor’s match quotations – approve for payment.
• Organise health and safety, RAMs, site set up information.
• Confirm Rams are being followed and implement revisions as required to improve safety.

The successful candidate will possess the following: -
• Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from initiation to completion
• Ability to develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with contractual requirements
• Experience in risk management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution to address challenges that may arise during construction projects
• Knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiations, and vendor management
• Understanding of architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and building codes
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques including plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and infection control standards for medical facilities
• Full UK Driving Licence
