Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Interim IT Business Analyst are;
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify and define business problems and opportunities, understand the current state and define business requirements to achieve the target state
- Plan and manage the analysis tasks throughout a project
- Use a range of best practice analysis tools to elicit, document, analyse and validate functional and non-functional requirements
- Manage requirements throughout the end-to-end lifecycle, ensuring that there is traceability at all stages
- Use appropriate methods to support the requirements elicitation and validation process
- Visualise and socialise requirements as user journeys, processes or wireframes
- Work closely with the Architecture team and key stakeholders and suppliers to support the production of integration specification documentation
- Lead feasibility studies when required
- Contribute to supplier selection processes, where required
- Contribute to development of project business cases
- Work closely with internal IT teams and third-party suppliers to design, test and implement suitable solutions
- Manage detailed test planning and execution activities
- Support detailed cutover planning and execution activities
- Stakeholder analysis and management
- Develop the internal business analysis competency and develop best practices
The Successful Applicant
The ideal Interim IT Business Analyst will have;
- Experience of undertaking a full end-to-end business analysis role on multiple/ complex projects
- Strong understanding of best practice business analysis techniques; including swim-lane process maps, business process modelling & notation; requirements elicitation, documentation, analysis, and validation; requirements traceability
- Experience in project delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
- Proven track record of managing stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Familiarity with project management tools and techniques and the ability to input into these e.g., risks and issues, change requests
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Experience using requirements management and testing tools such as JIRA and X-Ray
What's on Offer
- £500-550 a day inside IR35
- Initial six month contract
- Hybrid working (Tuesday being a pillar day)
