Job description
Senior Engineer – Sheffield
An opportunity has arisen to join a leading construction main contractor within the heart of Sheffield. As the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for initiating and leading tasks and processes, taking responsibility and being accountable where relevant and to manage all aspects of engineering on a section / project to ensure the works are delivered to meet the client’s expectations.
Responsibilities: • Manage the setting out process including primary and secondary stations
• Examine the technical aspects of Value Engineering and consult with wider team
• Ensure that risk assessments and method statements are being produced / approved and ensure they are being followed
• Prepare Short Term Programmes for their areas of work
• Manage site activities to ensure works remain on budget and time
• Manage all engineering activities related to their section of works
• Provide input into the evaluation of technical proposals during Subcontract procurement
• Manage site reporting such as record sheets, site instructions etc
Skills: • Relevant construction related degree
• CSCS – Managers Card
• First Aid at work desirable
• Relevant driving licence
