Human Resources Manager
Contract Type: Full-time
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week
Salary: £48,979 - £50,041 per annum, including London Weighting
We have invested in our HR Team at our College where we have recently improved our HRIS and structure that will build a strong growth of proactive HR applications to help drive the College’s strategic objectives.
We are now seeking to appoint an HR Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to manage a productive, committed team providing an effective, professional, advisory and administrative service in a busy College environment.
The HR Manager will work closely with the Executive Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development, operational managers and the senior leadership team.
The HR Manager will provide advice and guidance on staffing matters, strategy driven activities and in planning and implementing policies and processes that contribute to the development of the department and its employees. The HR Manager will play an important role in shaping the operations of the department.
The HR Manager should have a demonstrable understanding of the importance of effective HR management in an academic environment, and have outstanding organisational skills, a collaborative approach to work, and excellent communication skills. The HR Manager will be expected to acquire a thorough understanding of the College’s procedures to deliver creative solutions, and to foster constructive working relationships across the department and with the wider College.
The successful candidate will be qualified to CIPD graduate level or above or have equivalent experience. They will have demonstrable sound judgement in HR matters with detailed knowledge and experience of the application of UK employment law and on boarding regulations with an ability to evaluate risk. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective and constructive working relationships at all levels, and to influence decisions, including at middle management level.
