Early Years Project Lead Outreach Worker, Wythenshawe Children’s Centres
Based in Wythenshawe Children’s Centres
37 hours per week (full time)
Grade 2 (upper) point 16-19: £24,724 - £27,232 per annum
Permanent Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Outreach Worker to join the team at Wythenshawe Children’s Centres. We want an individual who is passionate about supporting our aim to make a positive difference and improve outcomes for children, young people and families living in Wythenshawe.

We are looking for someone who is experienced in engaging and working with parents and children in individual and group work. This role will be an Early Years Project Lead, including completing 4b ASQ and Wellcomm screening, the REAL intervention and other targeted projects as required.

Your impact
As an Outreach Worker you will

• Be passionate about supporting our aim to make a positive difference and improve outcomes for children, young people and families living in Wythenshawe

• To provide front line, high quality group and individual interventions both universal and targeted for children pre-birth to age 5 and their parents.

• Work in partnership with Start Well partners and other services to ensure that children pre-birth to 5 years and their parents, particularly those identified as priority and excluded, are signposted to the full range of services provided via Wythenshawe Children’s Centres and within the community to ensure their needs are met.

Your skills

We welcome applicants who:

• Educated to level three or above with a recognised professional qualification in social work, health, education or equivalent, or demonstrable experience in these fields of work, and evidence of a commitment to continuing learning and professional development.

• Experience of working with children and families in clients home and/or community venues, in groups and/or 1:1

• Excellent assessment skills, with the ability to set objectives and produce effective outcome-focused plans for families with complex needs, and to monitor, review and evaluate these.

• Experience of completing evidenced based interventions, especially related to early years/child development
