Job description

As a Supply HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students in delivering high-quality education. Your responsibilities will include providing classroom support, leading small group activities, and offering one-to-one assistance to students who require additional help. This is a flexible role where you can choose your own assignments based on your availability and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in delivering lessons and preparing learning materials.
• Lead small group activities and deliver pre-planned lessons under teacher guidance.
• Provide one-to-one support to students, including those with special educational needs.
• Assist with behaviour management and promote positive behaviour within the classroom.
• Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Contribute to student assessment and progress tracking.
• Undertake other duties as directed by school leadership.

Qualifications:

• Hold a relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent, such as the HLTA qualification.
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA in a school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
• Flexibility, reliability, and adaptability.
• Valid DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or willingness to undergo a new check.
