BCP Council own around 10,000 affordable homes and to add to this we have an have an active acquisition, development and temporary accommodation programme aiming to deliver up to 1000 by 26/2027 operating under the Council Newbuild Housing & Acquisition Strategy- CNHAS
We are now looking for a skilled Housing Development Manager to join the team.
Do you have the skills, abilities and experience to lead complex projects and a small team of Project Managers that deliver homes directly to in-house service departments and their clients/residents- in Housing Options BCP Homes, Adult and Childrens services?
You will focus on delivery of new homes generated from ourown housing stock & BCP sites with housing potential as well as work with private sector developments delivered through our commercialcompanies.
Ideally from a housing background and with your substantial experience of delivering housing development projects, you’ll be well versed in planning and construction of new homes and the associated processes along the development pipeline.You will have proven experience of managing complex development projects from end to end, from identification, viability and bidding to delivery, effective financial management and ensuring compliance. This will be supported by your extensive knowledge of the current issues and legislation.
Your natural communication style will ensure effective engagement with key stakeholders both inside and outside of the council as wellas third party suppliers.Alongside this your business development experience means you have a keen eye to identify potentialdevelopment opportunities and understand the financial & environmental. You are able lead on these opportunities, turning them into viable development schemes and deliver them.
