About the role

We are looking to recruit an individual to work with teachers as part of a professional team to support by providing technical assistance through the preparation and day-to-day maintenance of teaching areas and equipment for pupils. The post would suit a creative individual who enjoys working with materials in a 3D workshop/studio environment, somebody with Art, graphics/ Product design experience and CAD/ CAM qualifications.

Job purpose

The post would suit a creative individual who enjoys working with materials in a 3D workshop/studio environment, somebody with Art, graphics/ Product design experience and CAD/ CAM qualifications.

By their nature, the Art and Design & Technology areas are busy and fast paced. We require a team player with excellent organisation skills, initiative and confidence in using hand tools and other creative apparatus. We are a small team and are looking for an individual to assist in aspects of preparing learning resources and, on occasion to support the teaching in the classroom, for example with small groups under supervision from the teacher.

This will be supported by the school improvement plan which will identify key distinct tasks and responsibilities for this role in the school year. These will be derived from ongoing school self-evaluation and other local/national priorities. The postholder’s duties must be carried out in compliance with the school’s policies and procedures including child protection and safeguarding procedures.

These duties and responsibilities should be regarded as neither exhaustive nor exclusive as the post holder may be required to undertake other reasonably determined duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grading of the post.
