Job description
This role is part of the Public Leadership Development Team within the LCG.
This team delivers short courses and programmes for public sector chief executive officers (CEOs), deputy CEOs and their equivalents, as well as Civil Service leaders at this level. The aim of our work is to improve knowledge and expertise about working together across systems, as well as build networks and measurably improve delivery.

We are looking for a learning and development manager to support the PublicSector Leadership Development team to design and deliver residential modules
and learning & development events to public sector CEOs and Deputy-CEOs (and their equivalents).
The planned leadership events programme for the year includes:
● 4 x 2 or 3 day residentials as part of our flagship Leading Collaborative Organisations programme.
● One annual conference.
● Webinar series (3 per year).
● Media training.
● Summer panel and networking event.
● One day course on Working with Governments and Parliaments, delivered twice.
● Other ad hoc day events in conjunction with other teams in the LCG.

opportunities for you; to do work that you find interesting, that develops you, and that gives you the opportunity to shape your role.Within that context, you will be working on the following projects:
● Supporting the end-to-end design and delivery of a suite of programmes for CEOs and Deputy CEOs across the public sector.
● Supporting the evaluation of our programmes and events to track their effectiveness to ensure that they meet the needs of, and are relevant and continue to be accessed by, our leaders.
● Horizon scanning for best practice in the L+D field, ensuring the programme content and delivery is cutting edge, applying this learning to programme delivery and evaluating its impact.
● Working with colleagues and provider partners to deliver programmes at event venues across the UK, including negotiating and managing contracts.
● Stakeholder management with delegates and speakers.
● Understanding what delegates need and using knowledge to inform our suite of events.
● Offering ad-hoc admin support across team.
● Any other duties as required.
