Location: Malvern, On-Site, WR14 1PZ (No Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: 35-40k
Hours: 07:00 - 16.30 (M-T) / 07:00 - 12.30 (F)
Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer - Design Specialist seeking an exciting opportunity to innovate and contribute to the development of a global company? We are currently seeking a talented individual to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in conceptualising, designing, and executing mechanical designs using cutting-edge CAD systems.
Role Overview As a Mechanical Engineer - Design Specialist, you will collaborate closely with our valued customers and dynamic sales department to bring innovative fire appliance designs to life. Your responsibilities will include creating comprehensive 3D models, generating renderings for tender submissions and marketing materials, and producing detailed production drawings aligned with company schedules and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities "Utilise your expertise in Mechanical CAD systems to meticulously plan and execute designs for advanced fire appliances.
"Ensure cost-effectiveness by optimising labour and material utilisation in all designs.
"Maintain compliance with relevant standards and statutory requirements in various territories.
"Provide comprehensive design documentation to internal departments and external partners.
"Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, liaising effectively with stakeholders.
"Develop and test prototypes, conduct user research, and stay updated on market developments to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills "Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
"Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
"Proficiency in Mechanical CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo, or similar.
"Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
"Demonstrated expertise in industry design principles and best practices.
"Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
"Highly proficient in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams.
