WellChild, is the national charity for seriously ill children and their families. We fund programmes and services to make it possible for children and young people living with serious illness to be cared for at home instead of hospital.
What will you be doing?It is a crucial role steering this wonderful charity from strength to strength as it supports complex medical needs children and their families across the UK. In August 2022 we welcomed our new CEO Matt James, 2023/24 will see us focusing on developing and delivering a new 3-year strategy and the board of Trustees will be instrumental in embedding this throughout the Charity. As we continue to drive the charity forward, we are now looking to bring in a new Trustee with experience of working as a senior charity leader and fundraiser, ideally at a national level. The right candidate will require a skill-set to include professional charity knowledge, notably in major donor, legacy, corporate and individual fundraising and you will have sound understanding and experience of charity fundraising at strategic and operational levels
What are we looking for?The role of a fundraising trustee is to oversee organisational fundraising and ensure it is carried out in legal, best practice, transparent and accountable ways. The Fundraising trustee is also responsible for working with the Board to ensure the financial stability of the organisation and the proper use of the Charity’s funds
