Job description

Fantastic Opportunity for a Qualified Occupational Therapist. Job Advert Location Description Priory Hospital Enfield is a small hospital comprising of four wards; two medium secure (male only patients), one low secure (male only patients) and one acute ward (mixed sex-six male and six female patients). Priory Hospital Enfield is situated close to Central London with excellent transport links with easy access to the M25 and surrounding Home Counties. The hospital has recently been inspected by the Quality Network team and this provided some very positive feedback around patient care, staff attitudes and the positive relationships that have been built between staff and patients. The hospital has also recently been inspected by the European Council for the prevention of torture which again was very complimentary about the attitude of staff, patients provided excellent feedback about the staff and the service provided and the “thorough and detailed” care plans and treatment pathways on offer at site. Everyone working at Priory Hospital Enfield is determined to deliver the very best care for our patients. Collaborative working is key to the positive relationships we have between our staff and patients. The team is small but very supportive of each other and the positive link up between different disciplines is the reason for the positive feedback we are receiving. Job Advert Role Description Our Occupational Therapists enable service users to adapt to any aspect of their life with more independence, confidence and control. Considering the service user’s own views carefully, you will assess their abilities to perform activities and design treatment programmes to increase their capability to tackle difficulties and progress within their recovery pathway. Using the MOHO framework, you will undertake OT assessments, interventions and evaluations for a designated caseload. You will work closely with the other OT's on site and form part of a multi-disciplinary team within your ward. You will be asked to facilitate a flexible programme of OT groups and individual interventions as part of our tiered integrated group programme. You must have good personal organisational skills and effective communication skills. You will have BSc Hons or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and accreditation by the HCPC Core clinical roles:
