Job description

The Prospere Learning Trust are looking to appoint an IT Engineer to provide specialist technical IT support across Trust Academies including the development and maintenance of infrastructure / resources and to provide general support to staff and pupils.

Under the direction of the Head of IT Services, you will also support the installation, maintenance, availability and security of the Trust-wide network, hardware, and software.

You will support one of two clusters:

Cluster 1

Cluster 2

This is a permanent post, working 35 hours per week, term time plus an additional 6 weeks. The post holder will play an integral role in the delivery of outstanding IT support to schools and will be required to work across several sites.

The starting salary for this post is Grade 4, reflecting a starting salary of £24,294 pro rata which equates to a salary of £23,575.

You will work under the direction of a Senior On-Site IT Engineer and the main contacts for this role are Head of IT Services, members of the IT Services Team, Headteachers, nominated IT lead in each school, SLT at each school, teaching staff, other support staff, students, and external technical support services.

Main responsibilities

• To provide specialist technical IT support across Trust Academies including the development and maintenance of infrastructure / resources and to provide general support to staff and pupils.

• To work collaboratively with all staff and parents/carers to support student well-being and promote the values of the Trust and each school. 

• Under the direction of the Head of IT Services support the installation, maintenance, availability and security of the Trust-wide network, hardware, and software.

• To make a key contribution to the development of and support provided by the IT Services Team across all schools through the provision and delivery of a highly effective service.
