Job description
Previous CNC experience is essential to fulfil the position of CNC Sliding Head Setter. Within this role you will be offered overtime, free car parking and company pension.
Duties and responsibilities of CNC Sliding Head Setter
- Set and Operate CNC sliding head machines such as Tornos Deco with a TB deco control, Star fanuc control, Tornos with fanuc control, Hanwha with fanuc control
- Focus on production of high-quality components
- Maintain the section with offsets and tooling
- Leaving work area/machines in good condition at the end of shift in terms of material tooling
- Ability to leave machines running safely to support next operator starting at 6:45am
- Occasional simple repeat change overs
- Using measuring gauges
- To produce components within the agreed standard time
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Working to tight tolerances and in process measurements
- High precision tolerance works as well as volume
- Quality control, working to customer specification

- Previous experience of CNC Sliding Head Setting
- Attention to detail
- Be an effective communicator

Location: Redditch
Hours of Work: 20:00 – 06:00 Monday – Thursday (Overtime available Friday)
Salary: £13 - £14.50 per hour +20% Night Shift Allowance in addition, dependent upon experience
