Hours: Full time position – part-time roles could be considered - 19.5 or 32.5 hours per week
GSL Education are seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work in one of our local mainstream primary schools situated in Bournemouth. The school prides themselves on their inclusivity and tailored provision where every child’s individual needs are met, supported, and catered for. The school are looking for candidates with a passion for ‘closing the gap’ to allow all pupils to achieve their best and thrive within the school environment.
The role will consist of supporting children with SEN primarily on a 1:1 basis, including individuals with EHCPs and additional behavioural needs. Having experience within a school setting would be beneficial, as well as having experience working with children or adults with learning or behavioural needs. The successful candidate will have the ability to support class teachers to engage learners, motivate children and respond appropriately to the needs to the individual pupils they are working with.
The role is available for an immediate start, full-time, however the school would also consider candidates interested in starting in April 2024. The school would also consider part-time applicants.
