Reconciliation Project Accountant (3 month contract potential to be extended)
Preston (Hybrid Working or Fully Remote Available )
£250 - £350 per day (Outside IR35)

Axon Moore are looking for a Reconciliation Project Accountant to initially be working on a project for a circa of 3 months with the potential to be extended.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role requires a candidate with good analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify process improvement opportunities and action them by building and developing strong relationships with peers and key internal stakeholders.

Key Tasks:

• To be an expert in the reconciliation of complex balance sheet reconciliations
• Develop reports for internal customers in order to resolve outstanding reconciliation queries.
• Work collaboratively with finance to aid in the clearing of outstanding reconciling entries
• Identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities.
• Drive clearance of complex reconciliation issues
• Identify and escalate reconciliation issues and risks to the finance Leadership Team.
• Manage and resolve complex query resolution with key stakeholders.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required:

• Qualified or QBE Accountant
• Comfortable dealing with large volume of transactions
• Ability to understand complex processes
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent excel skills
• Effective communicator

The successful candidate will be responsible for control and reconciliation of bank and balance sheet accounts, resolving complex issues and support/improve reconciliation processes so that risk is evaluated and remedied in a timely and accurate manner.
