We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Administrator to join our team at Fostering Solutions – North West. This role is based at the St Helens Office.

About the Group

We are part of the National Fostering Group – the UK’s largest independent fostering family.

Our highly skilled and dedicated fostering community supports Local Authorities by providing short or long-term foster placements for thousands of vulnerable children and teenagers throughout the UK. Almost all of our 33 regional fostering agencies are officially recognised by Ofsted, Welsh and Scottish regulators as either ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’, it is perhaps not surprising that more people choose to foster with our fostering agencies than any other fostering provider in the UK.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative service to our fostering team and ensure our agency runs effectively and efficiently. You will provide a high-quality service to all internal and external stakeholders, including meeting and greeting and answering all incoming calls.

Being our first point of contact for our staff and carers, you will be dealing with incoming queries effectively and managing information confidentially. You will be in your comfort zone supporting the team and the managers with tasks including minuting, projects and research when required.

Our team at Fostering Solutions are extremely supportive and caring. Every day we put a relentless focus on the outcomes of the children and young people in our care and you will be a part of that!

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will have previous administration experience working within an office environment and supporting a busy team. It is important you hold good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel to enable you to create reports.

Our office is a fast-paced environment so you will have the ability to meet tight deadlines with a flexible working attitude. You will be highly organised with the ability to stay calm under pressure.

We are also looking for someone who will demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop their own personal skills and continuously improve though on-going training as agreed with your line manager.

Why work for us

At National Fostering Group, our employee’s health and wellbeing are important to us. We offer an exceptional rewards package as well as access to our flexible benefits platform - so you can choose extra benefits that are suited to you. Below includes some of our offerings:

Up to 39 days annual leave each year (25 base entitlement + 1 One moment in time + 8 bank holidays + ability to buy up to 5 extra days)

Plus so much more physical and mental health benefits for you to choose from!

And that’s not all, we place the outcomes of the children and vulnerable young adults in our services at the heart of everything we do, so you’ll wake every day in the knowledge that your role will have a significant positive impact on the lives of others.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all employees to share this commitment and undertake appropriate checks.
