Job Role: Field service Engineer
Manpower Engineering is currently collaborating with a leading global company to fill a new and exciting position. We are actively seeking qualified candidates for a key role within their organization. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to impactful projects in the manufacturing of high-performance lighting solutions and electrical accessories sector.
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000
Location: Onsite & Remote - New castle, Sheffield, Birmingham, and Liverpool
Willingness to travel regularly (30%-50% of the time.
Hours: 08:00 to 17:00
Qualifications Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Work Experience: Customer service and quality control/inspection experience beneficial.
- Language Skills: Very good command of spoken and written English.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Direct Reporting: AFS Manager
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure Commissioning / Decommissioning:
- Advise clients on optimal workshop arrangements for equipment.
- Coordinate audit information, pre-shipment prep, and packing for decommissioning.
- Oversee installation and commissioning globally.
Documentation Management:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all equipment.
- Ensure accessibility of troubleshooting notices for common breakdowns.
Customer Training:
- Train and monitor new operators, maintenance technicians, and supervisors.
- Provide training for setting up test samples, splice assembly, and E-ticketing.
Technical Support Level 3:
- Ensure timely response to E-tickets.
- Provide remote or on-site technical assistance.
- Conduct preventive maintenance Level 3 and advise on local part supplies.
Supervision:
- Monitor production output and optimize workshop effectiveness.
- Randomly supervise operations of bars cutting, cold forging, threading, and testing.
- Ensure compliance with documentation and standardization.
Reporting & Communication:
- Receive and convey client queries (E-tickets).
- Report deviations to standard processes to both client and management.
- Propose action plans for improving equipment performance.
