Job description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Building Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering and Facilities team at our Liverpool Distribution Centre.
The Building Maintenance Engineer will help maintain our automated distribution centre and Head Office building fabric, services and equipment and is responsible for day to day maintenance tasks, ensuring the Company’s facilities provide a safe, secure clean and well maintained environment.
This role is fundamental in supporting the Distribution Centre to operate at its full potential, maintaining equipment to a high standard and keeping production/area downtime to an absolute minimum.
Package
£38,850 per annum
- on 4 off, 12 hour shifts from 6pm - 6am
- 6 weeks paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service

Job Overview
Ensure adherence to health and safety and security
Work at height
Maintain automated doors and dock levellers to reduce downtime
Preventative maintenance - organised between production requirements
Repair roll cages
Welding
Plumbing
Electrical/mechanical tasks
General maintenance duties
Ensure work is carried out in accordance to good practice, relevant legislation and Company standards
Minimum Criteria To Apply
A mix of the electrical and mechanical skills
Previous knowledge and experience of building services and facilities engineering
Qualified in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent problem solving and fault diagnosis skills
Ability to plan and organise work schedules between production requirements
Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings
An understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics is preferable
Welding experience preferable although full training is provided
