Your impact:
As the Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance, repair, and inspection activities of mechanical equipment used in offshore geotechnical operations. Leading a team of skilled technicians, you'll plan maintenance schedules, implement preventive strategies, and ensure safe and efficient operations. International travel may be required to support activities across our fleet.
The Job:
- Supervise and support a team of mechanical technicians.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and strategies.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize equipment performance.
- Assist in selection and training of team members.
- Stay updated with industry trends and recommend equipment upgrades.
The Person:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within an industrial setting, preferably offshore operations.
- Certifications in relevant areas.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including diesel engines, hydraulics, and geotechnical drilling equipment.
- Experience in team leadership and effective management of technicians.
- Proficient in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose mechanical issues.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in mechanical maintenance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work offshore and adapt to irregular schedules if required.
- Knowledge of high-pressure pneumatics or compensation systems is advantageous
