Job description
Pure are delighted to be working with a growing buisiness on the outskirts on Witham who are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join the team. The purpose of this role is to support finance and various business teams with reporting and analytics to enhance business insight to aid in profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities - Responsible for developing and producing daily, weekly and monthly reporting distributed to senior members.
- Work with large data sets across key systems to produce meaningful analysis to support business decision making.
- Ensuring the allocation of Sales and Costs to the correct financial cost centres. Including verifying of cross departmental charges
- Collation of data and calculation of accrued/deferred income to recognise as part of weekly/monthly reporting.
- Work with the Finance Business Partners (FBP) to the help facilitate meaning analysis of results.
- Production of monthly board/finance packs for review
- Responsible for working with FBP and their stakeholders across the business to support and drive improved performance.
- Undertake any ad-hoc tasks and analysis as and when required.
Skills Required: - Previous experience of working in a commercial finance or financial analysis role.
- Ability to think commercially and see the bigger picture.
- Able to influence and work effectively with non-financial managers.
- Strong analytical skills, with an analytical mindset.
- Excellent financial systems (Dynamics 365 preferred) and Microsoft office skills particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Continually seeks improvement and more effective methods of working.
- Works well in a pressured environment.
- Ability to be held accountable for own area of responsibility.
- Understanding of finance systems and standardised processes.
- Experience of developing management reporting.
Qualifications Required: - Starter/Part - qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA accountant or QBE
