JOB TITLE: Building Control Inspector
LOCATION: East Lindsey Area:
SALARY: From £27,803 - £41,418 per annum (Depending on level of registration and experience)

We are seeking an enthusiastic Building Control Inspector, who is committed to providing a first class service. You will be part of a busy team covering all aspects of the Building Control function, ensuring Building Regulation Applications are processed promptly, site visits are carried out when requested and other legislative duties undertaken including enforcement, dangerous structures, and demolition work.

The work is both diverse and interesting, and although the role is based at East Lindsey District Council, you may be required to work across the sub region and within the district boundaries of other council’s that make up the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership.
Typical duties
Working as an important member of the team, you will be involved in all matters relating to Building Control including plan examination, site inspections and dealing with domestic and commercial building types.
Negotiating with applicants or their agents, solving problems and preparing reports and decisions to secure compliance with the Building Regulations and associated legislation.

What we need from you:
An approved professional qualification relevant to Building Control, construction, or similar discipline such as CABE, RICS, CIOB.
Hold or be actively working towards a minimum Class 2 registration with BSR
