Logistics Co-ordinator, Essex, £26,000 - £35,000 per annum
Role Profile
Our client is a global distribution business based in Essex. They are currently looking to appoint a Logistics Co-ordinator to support their established Supply Chain team, working closely with one of the businesses key accounts.
The key purpose of the role is to oversee the fulfilment of orders including arranging shipping and distribution of orders to overseas customers.
Key responsibilities will include:
Arranging shipment of orders (sea and air freight), including raising POs for freight / transport suppliers
Producing relevant and accurate shipping documentation and import / export documentation for customs
Maintain strong relationships with logistics suppliers
Processing customer orders from initial receipt through to final shipment
Acting as point of contact for customer, resolving queries on order status and providing fulfilment reports
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a logistics or supply chain role
Previous experience of customer order fulfilment in a B2B environment
Good working knowledge of customs procedures and import / export documentation
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Excellent communication and influencing ability
