Job description

A vacancy suited to candidates who have experience of working in a standalone H&S role within a manufacturing setting that are NEBOSH qualified. You will be a team player and someone who is able to work with flexibility. An excellent communicator you will have a thorough understanding of COSHH, REACH, DSEAR and PUWER regulations. Our role will offer you great exposure to working on many exciting projects across the business taking the lead and making this role your own.
Duties:

• Developing and improving the companies safety management system
• Provide support to wider business to maintain ISO 9001 Certification
• Ensure the business remains current to all HASAWA obligations
• Prepare and deliver regular EHS reporting at leadership meetings
• Develop and maintain Incident Management, Fire, First Aid procedures
• Develop and maintain a robust Business Continuity Plan with head of supply chain
• Ensure visitors and contractors are greeted, briefed and managed appropriately
• Support Head of Supply chain to lead and deliver on business EHS projects
• Providing EHS guidance and support to other sites including remote workers
• Providing training, coaching and guidance as required to our colleagues
• Review and approve H&S policies, procedures, work instructions and safe systems at work
• Provision, implementation, review, approval and maintenance of Risk COSHH & REACH
• Promoting near miss and hazard identification
• Compile all H&S activity reports and performance statistics as required
• Risk Assessments, Inspection & H&S Equipment Maintenance
• Investigate and follow up accident, incidents and near misses
• Lead H&S Committee
• Ensure Radiation Safety, First Aid and Fire Marshall Requirements and training are adequate

Skills and Experience Required:

• NEBOSH Qualified
• Experience in an EHS role within Manufacturing setting
• Experience in conducting Risk Assessments and safety audits
• Practical experience and thorough understanding of COSHH, REACH, DSEAR and PUWER regulations
