Parts & Purchasing Assistant

Stratford upon Avon

£26,000 - £30,000 D.O.E

Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

 

Job Summary

To support the Service Department by ensuring all procurement needs are accommodated to meet the demands of the business and its customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

Resources:

 To manage and maintain the correct stock levels by using the company IT software.

 To manage and maintain moving stock levels required in order to ensure equipment repairs and services are carried out on time.

 To ensure the department administration is dealt with correctly, including the correct completion of all courier and import/export administration, despatch and invoicing.

 To manage all warranty claims with suppliers.

 To ensure weekly stock checks are undertaken with the assistance of Stores personnel. Working alongside the Stores Controller taking an active interest in stock levels and any issues raised.

 To investigate and award contracts for services within the company.

Financial:

 To implement and maintain strict cost controls to meet department budgets.

 To maintain and improve profitability of parts within the Service Department.

 To promote parts/new products to new customers and maintain and improve relations with existing customers to increase turnover and profitability.

 To ensure the correct resources are sourced efficiently.
