Job description
Elite have partnered with a gorgeous, contemporary fashion brand to support on the hire of a Product Merchandiser to cover a 12 month period of maternity leave for the team.
The Product Merchandiser will support in the definition of the Womenswear collection merchandising strategy together with the Buying & Merchandising Director that helps to achieve their financial goals whilst maintaining the integrity and long-term growth of the brand. The Product Merchandiser monitors the development of each collection, guiding the process according to the Collection Brief and go-to-market timelines. They are the product expert.
This role works closely with the Design, Product Development, Retail Merchandising, Production and Marketing teams to bring timeless, effortless, and sophisticated products to our Retail, E-comm & Wholesale customers through a spectrum of analysis and product planning.
Key Responsibilities -
- Work with the Buying & Merchandising Director to build the Womenswear Collection Briefs, proposing commercial and innovative ways to sustain and grow the product range
- Present the Collection Briefs to the Design, Product Development, and Production teams
- Undertake benchmark and competitor analysis while remaining up to date on trends and news from the fashion industry
- Manage and maintain impeccable collection tools (Pricing documents, Collection Brief, Sketch Plan, PLM, Market schedule, Collection tracker) to monitor clearly all the collection activities
- Participate in the seasonal pricing meetings during the collection development. Forecast seasonal quantities and maintain and update retail price targets in PLM and the Sketch Plan
- Maintain a pricing and sales performance database
- Manage the market opening schedule and coordinate all go-to-market activities
- Manage the showroom selling tools and training preparations - explain the collection direction and relevant product information to help convey the product strategy
Skills and competencies -
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong product sensitivity in this category and part of the market
- Commercial awareness and strong business acumen
- Restless to exceed corporate goals
- Passionate about luxury Womenswear and product
