Job overview

Are you an experienced band 6 dietitian having worked across diabetes and/or weight management services but looking for the next step? Are you someone that is excited about leading on service development and supporting the most marginalised people in the community? If so, this job maybe for you!

Statistically people with serious mental illness (SMI) die 15 to 20 years earlier then their counterparts. A significant factor in this is their increased risk of cardio metabolic syndrome diabetes heart disease etc. much of this is preventable but also a real side effect of some of the medications used. A dietitian working in a long-term mental health facility such as Guild Lodge would be able to support people across their journey to prevent the onset of cardiometabolic syndrome or to manage the symptoms of diabetes etc. effectively.
