Job description
Our client, a prestigious PR company, is seeking a proactive Publicist with established contacts within the sports industry.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Supporting the Director in all areas of the business.
· Leading international publicity for clients.
· Serving as a point of contact for media enquiries.
· Managing relationships with key stakeholders and brand partners, cultivating good relationships with key media figures.
· Managing communications for both UK and international media (to include digital and trade press).
· Enhancing client’s profiles and exploiting PR opportunities.
· Identifying and leveraging PR opportunities that support company strategy.
· Producing press releases, briefing documents, and Q&As for clients.
· Employing crisis management skills as needed.
· Conducting effective social media management and producing social media content.
· Providing analysis of social media and press engagement.
· Managing and attending media interviews/events, preparing briefing materials for interviewees.
· Working collaboratively with the Operations Manager and Press Assistant.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in PR, Communications, marketing, or related field.
· Current contacts within the sports media.
· Substantial and meaningful Publicist/PR Manager experience.
· Able to build trust and credibility to advise senior management.
· Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
· Experience with talent-facing and press liaison.
· Strong negotiation skills.
· Presentation abilities.
· Solid time management skills.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Impeccable communication skills.
· Copywriting and content creation skills.
· Robust understanding of internet culture and social media.
· Fluency in a second language is advantageous.
