What you’ll be doing

You'll be responsible for ensuring the Chief Operating Office function which represents a third of Paragon's workforce, is able to design, implement and execute consistently on control frameworks across a variety of technical disciplines. Alongside, ensuring a first line perspective on compliance with existing and emerging regulation.

Partnering with our risk and audit functions, this is a certified and material risk taker (MRT) role reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Accountable for group functions such as Procurement, Operational Resilience, Property, Financial Crime Operations and Quality Control for our Operations functions.

About You

The skills you’ll bring

• Given the extensive breadth of this role, we envisage you to be a forward thinking risk/controls director, with strong intellectual capacity and be able to empathise with colleagues at all levels.
• Posses significant and relevant risk/controls management experience acquired at director level
• Demonstrable knowledge of financial services and associated regulations.
• Have a natural curiosity to explore innovative tools and processes for risk management. Be proactive in suggesting improvements to processes and awareness of upcoming regulations.
• Understand and have experience in directing operational resilience, procurement or financial crime is a significant advantage
• The ability to influence and obtain buy-in from a wide group of stakeholders is a key requirement..
