Find out if a career in care is right for you – take our short quiz here Job Advert Location Description Cleveland House is a 32 bed hospital for people who may have had a variety of physical disabilities as well as either acquired brain injuries, intellectual / learning disabilities, or mental illnesses associated with conditions such as epilepsy or sensory impairment. Clinical care is provided to men and women over the age of 18 in a homely environment by a close knit team of dedicated staff. Therapy is focused on working with residents to improve their quality of life within a caring, safe and supporting atmosphere and in a way that is sensitive to each individual’s needs. Job Advert Role Description A critical member of the Ward team, supporting and assisting Registered Nurses in the assessment, planning and implementation of patient care. Delivering care to the patient as prescribed by the individual care plans and liaising with family members as appropriate. Main Duties:

Opportunity to develop skills in complex care – including ventilator support, Tracheostomy management, physical disabilities.
Opportunity to develop enhanced competency based clinical skills such as:
ventilator circuit management
enhanced infection control skills
Management of respiratory care including suctioning, nebuliser management and tracheostomy tube changing
Experience to work with the wider onsite Multidisciplinary team including nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapy, Speech and Language therapy and clinical psychology
Candidates will also gain experience in supporting service users to achieve their rehabilitation and daily activity goals
