Job description

This role is a full-time, locum position in an NHS Trust based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire service; it offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust is seeking an enthusiastic specialty doctor in Addiction Psychiatry to work 4 days a week. Your core responsibilities would be to help assess, diagnose, and oversee the mental health of patients in your care.

The postholder will be working as part of an MDT with partner agencies but focusing on the prescribing element of treatment. The postholder will carry out medical assessments and review appointments for clients with substance misuse issues, predominantly opiate misuse and to safely manage the treatment for clients being prescribed opiate substitute treatment.

Hours: This position is a part-time role of 30 hours per week 

Setting: CMHT

Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire

Dates: ASAP for 3 months.

Skills:

Requirements:

• You must have a full GMC licence to practice
• Relevant previous experience working in this type of position
• Section 12 approval is essential
• Approved clinician status is desired but not essential
